~ Love made people crazy. And I was just glad I no longer had to resist the fall.

~ But maybe that’s what I needed to lean into. Maven was accomplishing things because she no longer had me holding her back. I would accomplish things to prove to myself that this life was one worth choosing. That I hadn’t made a mistake in leaving her.

But in the meantime, this house was too darn quiet. I needed a dog.

Not that I was having thoughts of buying a hundred copies of the fictional calendar and wallpapering my wall with it. I absolutely wasn’t. A calendar for each room would be sufficient.
