Bestie, you’re so brave for picking up a Sparks book in the first place!! All the warnings I’ve read about him ALWAYS making a character get injured and/or die at the end makes me wary of any of his stories 😬

Hahaha I've only ever read the notebook and a walk to remember and I don't remember either being especially enjoyable ... his narrative tone is usually flat and monotonous... and too damn dragged out... there's a whole bunch of nothing. There's no doubt his books make for good movies but they never seem to work for me as books tbh. I only picked this one cause it was a gift from my mom 10 years ago along with another sparks book and I haven’t picked it up since and felt so guilty about it 😭 I'm halfway through and certain it isn't gonna get any better though time to move onto the next
