The Israelites built God a house after some drama.

A lot of the Israelites got married to “strange wives” aka foreign women. Ezra got so mad about this that he ripped his own beard off

2 Chronicles:

A genealogical history from Solomon to the Babylonian exile - EXCEPT they leave out all the bad stuff everyone did

1 Chronicles:

A genealogical history beginning with Adam through the death of David - EXCEPT, they leave out all the bad stuff everyone did.

2 Kings:

I HAVE to tell yall that one time God sent 2 bears to kill 42 CHILDREN because they called prophet BALD. I am so serious.

The rest of this book is just murder and betrayal between kings and etc. Then God turned his back on Israel and Judah, even though he said he wouldn’t do that? Idk man

2 Samuel: EW DAVID!

Lots of horrendous stories in this book, I’m glad it’s over.

Also silly that out of ALL the sins David did, God got the most mad about him taking a census.

1 Samuel:

A beautiful and tragic story of the star crossed lovers, David and Jonathan. I legit cried. They were so in love.

Also, shoutout Hannah ✌🏻

Ruth:
Nice story about two women creating a found family of their own.
Down side - Ruth was a servant for Boaz, and then he had to buy her to marry her.

Judges:

Never ending cycle of the Israelites sinning, getting wrecked by god, begging for forgiveness, and then did being like ok fine here’s a military legend (judge) to help you rebuild.

Also a woman was r****d to death and her “owner” chopped her up into 12 pieces and sent them across the country……..

Joshua:
That dude looooooooooves to go into a city, kill all the people, and then burn it to the ground 🥴

Deuteronomy:
Long lists of laws and long lists of how god will kill you if you break those laws.
Also so pissed for Moses that he went through all that shit to not even get to the milk and honey.
