-Number of combat actions - 200, 1/3 of all that took place in the entire war.
-Of the state’s 46 present-day counties, 45 saw action.
-Nearly 20% of all Americans who died in battle in the Revolution died in South Carolina in the last two years of the war.

Also, I was not aware that the Revolutionary War was not simply colonists vs British. There were a LOT of loyalists (colonists siding with the Crown) that fought and died against their revolutionary neighbors. In one sense it was described as “A most Uncivil War,” a play on the phrase “Civil War.”
