Mixed on this book so far. The stories are pretty fun and I like learning some things about this region's mythology. On the other hand, the writing in the story bits feel like modern YA sometimes, the nonfiction bits aren't always informative and a lot of "conclusions" feel like a stretch, and there are some weird passive-aggressive political comments that I find kind of distracting and unpleasant.
