Okay so Alistair hates Hadrian or just dislikes him and favors Crispin for some reason. Favoring your younger son named.. Crispin… is crazy work.

Ooooo Hadrian vs Crispin for dads approval and attention. Alistair seems like an interesting character, excited to see what kind of dad he is to his two boys. Someone said this book starts slow and I’m starting to see that, pretty slow in the beginning.

So the petty politics, strategy, and political moves are in play already. Seems like our main character is in for some drama.

Hadrian and Crispin have a cool dynamic! Interested to see more of their relationship develop. I have a feeling one of them will die or something heart wrenching will happen later down the line.. I’m interested to see how Sir Felix compares to Sire Cei from the Spellmonger Series, being knights and castellans. Very interested so far!

I’m liking this one so far! I’ve heard good things, especially that it was a slow burn sci fi, let’s see..
