So far, this is just beautifully written. I can feel it's beauty, vulnerability, and rawness in every word. Also, I think I might have just found a good processing activity from the chapter "Where are we going?"

I've honestly just been reading this the whole day and it's very easy to digest. Michelle always describes food very well, and also her internal struggles and her relationship with her mom, dad, and other familial figures.

But realizing this is a memoir, meaning it's nonfiction...this is really sad and heavy. It's honestly, yeah, depressing. But it's in a way that's so beautifully written.
