I liked this book, it felt very personal to the author & I enjoy own voice stories. I knew a little about Equatorial Guinea before. I liked that the characters embraced their queerness while rejecting conservative traditions pressed in the tribe due to colonization. I was glad that there was a happy ending, even if Okomo had to live in seclusion with Dina, Marcelo, & the others.
