Wrapping up the book, the ending did appear to bridge to the upcoming books, however, it did feel predictable. There was heavy character development in these last few chapters, which I appreciated. All the main characters displayed some sort of incredible determination that showed some internal strength. The ending was very basic and seemed to conform to the 'happily ever after ending" idea, which was upsetting.

So far, the two main characters have had separate sections in the book. However, in these last few pages the two sections have come together. It is interesting to see the two characters, with all their differences and similarities, to meet each other. Additionally, the dramatization of the last chapters have shown the extremity that the Silencers are willing to go, which adds to the disturbing reality of the book.

The climax has just begun and it is incredibly tense and dramatic. I like how despite the world falling apart around Cassie, she continues to focus on her goal of finding her brother. The author uses very descriptive metaphors and references that set the determined and melancholy atmosphere. I appreciate how the author does a great job of stepping into Cassie's shoes and writing in the perspective of a teenager.

So far the book has gotten increasingly suspenseful. I am getting the vibe that the climax of the book is really close, which makes the book increasingly attractive. I like how the author is switching perspectives because it makes every chapter more engaging by showing what is happening across society in the book. I also appreciated the humor in the past few chapters that have somehow added to the mysterious vibe.

The character development has grown enormously in these last chapters. The book is full of suspense and mystery and constantly attracts me to read it. I really enjoyed how the author creates a sense of confusion and mystery by making us feel like we are the characters. By bringing in a new character, Evan Walker, I'm pretty suspicious of him because he seems to be too perfect. I love the realistic story line.

The first few pages of the book really pulled me into the scene. The author writes the first few pages as if the main character is thinking to herself, almost like a thought process, making the story feel more personal. There is a lot of mystery shrouding the characters and setting, which makes me eager to know what happens next. So far the book seems well written and I am excited to know what happens next!
