Damn! I’m still on this chapter with like 18 more pages to go. Probably the longest one in the book

I’m really appreciating the way they narrate the current political situation of this society through a movie puppet show that Mario has set up. It’s also kinda interesting/eerie that North America became ONAN through a sort of cult-y following of their masked leader.

Another disturbing chapter regarding a mother and the loss of her child due to addiction.

God. The Raquel Welch section was super disturbing

The Boston AA chapter is super long and dense, but very good so far. It’s good to get further insight into Gately and his struggles. The way DFW writes about the process of recovery is really something else. The crocodiles bit was funny as it was honest/realistic about AA.

Eschaton chapter was interesting and humorous. Probably a metaphor for world leaders and war

Read WAY more than listed here. Endnote 110 was hella dense, a chapter on its own

Super funny chapter so far, but endnote 110 is another lengthy and daunting note that I will need to tackle at a later time. Poor Tony’s chapter was interesting too.

Super dense in wordage about Orin. Couldn’t finish the chapter. But curious about where it all stands. Interesting nevertheless
