Hank finishes recalling the horrific events that led him to be in a coma. He makes a remarkable recovery and is set to be released from the hospital. He makes a failed attempt at writing a letter to Irvel. Then is able to write letters again further into his recovery.

Hank is alive and woke up from a coma and trying to piece together his story.

Irvel stays home for a few months then goes back to help fight the war . Her fight is fueled by her love for Sam and Hank. She achieves a victory declares it in honor of Sam and Hank then recites Psalm 23 to comfort her so she can sleep.

Irvel and Ruth completed many missions and had a heartfelt talk. Irvel and Ruth nurse the injured soldiers from a recently ended battle. Irvel finds out more devastating news regarding Sam and Hank.

Irvel is processing/grieving the news regarding the passing of Sam and possibly Hank.
