Do dive bars generally have parking lots? I mean, isn't drunkenness the point of dive bars in which case even if you can still find your keys you probably should not be driving?!

Your question makes complete sense. What doesn't make sense is the number of dive bars in America that have parking lots.

@jan-maat - i’m going to blame zoning, but it’s a rare rare American dive bar that is in stumbling distance of any residential neighborhoods. in good news, the regulars drive ten miles under the speed limit and less than a mile, total, on secondary roads, at 2 am. and see above about spouse and gf presence.
