I like this book, but I’m not connecting to it as much. I think it’s because this book isn’t telling a linear story, but it’s a remembrance of the people who made Helen. Letting myself be open to different types of storytelling & sitting in the memory of others

September is my month to intentionally read indigenous literature! Starting with this memoir :)
