DNF . I was really looking forward to reading about Bellevue Hospital, its history, the ways in which it helped to modernize the ways illness was perceived and treated, as well as the attitude that patients were not to be seen as the scum of the earth and unworthy of decent medical care.
However, what I did not anticipate was a nearly day-by-day account of all the minutiae from Bellevue's earliest incarnation.
