um hello.. can we talk about cassie's development from book 1 to now?? i know she keeps emphasizing the fact but i literally remember when she was struggling to say "you" while profiling ohmygosh.. we've come a long way (?? though it's lowk twisted and kind of sad icl. like noobody this age should have to deal w/ everything.. EVERYTHING she's dealt with)

okay cassie did make more sense explaining it so i slightly retract my previous statement
it’s absolutely possible that they need someone to hold them together, because they are currently falling apart + cassie somewhat “needs to fight it” so she can also help them through their turmoil before dealing with her past

truly dealing with a complex character like lia is a new level of empathy i have never experienced
completely get what she’s saying, but you can’t just hit the off-switch on grief?? “you don’t get to be effed up right now” because both sloane and michael are ALSO going through something?
EVERYONE is allowed to have trauma, and she’s not choosing her words carefully enough. this just isn’t fair at alll
