Thanos is recommissioning some of his old hideaways. Just in case.

A small doll was found. Thanos reminisces on Gamora’s training. And how he tried to give her a ‘normal’ childhood.
Including celebrating a version of Christmas!

Then he remembers when Gamora used that doll to save his life….

You’d have thought Thanos learned that caring is NOT a weakness…

Infinity War #6 -
Magus snaps! Twice!!

The first makes his dark doppelgangers disappear. I thought he wanted them to inhabit ‘his’ universe?

Anyway, turns out Magus didn’t have true omnipotence… As he didn’t have the real reality gem!

The end sees the heroes returned home, Adam in a coma and Magus trapped in the Soul world, less than a spirit.

Thanos wonders who stole the cosmic containment units…

Warlock and the Infinity Watch #10 -
This shows the full battle between the two Thanos.

It’s full of reflections and, interestingly, doubt.

Eventually Thanos realises what he must do and becomes unrelenting.

He defeats his double. And it becomes a butterfly… That Thanos eats?!

With this comes a revelation that Thanos will need time to untangle.

But for now, he will go to face a god!

Infinity War #5 -
This issue is the only one so far to so heavily suggest reading a tie-in comic.

Quasar accepted the risk… But the Nullifer didn’t work!

Adam learns that every moment up to now has been manipulated.

Then Doom and Kang attack!

Doom almost takes ultimate power but fate is tricky and Magus still held the Gauntlet.

Cap was right not to trust Thanos. He lets the heroes walk into a trap!

Warlock and the Infinity Watch #9 -
This leads directly from the end of Infinity War #4.

Galactus took Gamora to his meeting with the Living Tribunal to plead against the ruling that causes the Infinity gems to not work when combined.

Apparently, only Eternity can do that.

So Galactus uses Gamora as his ‘scalpel’. She really doesn’t like to be used. And I can’t blame her.

But she does it!

Infinity War #4 -
Kang and Doom find what they’ve been searching for.
Magus still seems unconcerned about the unknown disturbances…

Galactus and co find Earth’s heroes fighting Thanos & the Watch, which he swiftly puts a stop to.

He sends Thor back to Earth to gather more information.

Thanos justifies using the Ultimate Nullifier.
Well, he doesn’t want to sacrifice himself, so gives it to Quasar!

Warlock and the Infinity Watch #8 -
Another tie-in that doesn’t move the plot. In fact, it ends exactly how IW#3 does.

Anyway, Thanos provokes Moondragon for some reason.

Gamora sees a glimpse of the future. Adam says he'll handle it…

Thanos and Gamora fight for old times’ sake while Pip listens to Adam talk about his decisions while omnipotent.

Oh, and Thanos’ double isn’t as loyal to Magus as he seems…

Marvel Comics Presents #108-111
A short story that slots itself between panels in Infinity War #3.

It shows Thanos’ spirit being taken to Mistress Death.
Where she speaks to him!

She talks about T’s betrayal and dislikes being ‘indebted’ to Adam Warlock.

She then proposes a deal with Thanos; kill Adam and she will be his lover until the end of time.

Ultimately, Thanos could not go through with it…

Infinity War #3 -
Magus knows how everyone’s going to react.
Expect he doesn’t sense what Doom and Kang are up to?

Magus wants the ‘benefits’ of ultimate power, not just the power.

The expedition team teleports right to Adam, Thanos and the Infinity Watch!

I didn’t like what Nat said that she doesn’t even have what it takes to ‘sit at the table’. It takes more than muscle to deal with a threat!

Infinity War #2 -
Thanos takes Adam and the Infinity Watch to the Infinity Well to learn more about the Magus.

It gives them info they already know. It also reveals that Magus was born again because Adam - when he possessed the Infinity Stones - expelled both good and evil from himself!

And that he gained immense power from 5 different sources.

Wolverine exposes the imposters and a Gamma bomb explodes!
