Yo that ending sucked

That final boss battle was so rushed and anticlimactic af

It’s kinda funny when they banter but they literally don’t do it enough cuz the author barely has them in the same room for more than 2 seconds 💀💀💀 How the hell could this be love at this point in time

Okay I love how this book handles the romance though. It makes me kilig in a way that I haven’t felt since I first started reading YA fantasy 🤭

I want to like Valek but every time he acts violent around Yelena it just makes me wary of him. It seems like he’s gonna be her love interest, but I just think he has a huge red flag of taking his anger out in a physical way that I want to say is abusive, but we’ll see…

This book has so much potential but it really feels like we spend half of it being told what happens and skipping to the next scenes instead of living in the moment
