This was definitely a good read.

I only ever watched the movies so it's been a good comparison so far and the parts left outof the movie I definitely either could have done without or understand why they left it out. I'm just not looking forward to a particular scene I've heard about in the book so will need to be prepared to skip over that lol.

I actually read this a while ago in I believe the late 80’s or early 90’s. When I bought the book at the time, I did not know that King had written an epic that would be the topic of much discussion years later. I remember the first televised version from the 90’s. It had a familiar cast and the storyline pretty much followed the book. The later two-movie series, used advanced special effects more as tools to shock and awe the audience, but still followed the storyline a little closer. I enjoyed the book more than either of the films, but if I had to choose a movie, I would pick the earlier version with Tim Curry as Pennywise.
