This has (and consistently does so) sparked so many ideas, memories, and thoughts for me whilst reading. It’s clearly relatable, and I appreciate the relativity of this story to my own childhood in ways I seem to have forgotten. Brings back some distant feelings of youth, and continues to feel like a comfort as I read and reflect on it. Banger.

It’s a rare thing to pickup a book, read literally 4 pages, and say okay-This is going to be amazing. I’m not kidding when I say this- I have read the first 4 pages at the time of writing this. The story hasn’t even started yet. But in these 4 pages of preface and overview, I felt emotions stirred up deep inside that I’m sure are likely to burst out as I continue reading. 4 pages.
