There was a particular timeframe in book 1 that I wanted more of and the flashbacks in this were in that exact timeframe so I am glad to see these scenes. While I think it would be good in book1, I really liked the parallels of the present scenes and the book1 flashbacks. I have more spoilery thoughts but I will wait until yall read it lol
