-was done well imo. I related especially to that last part; there are aspects of my identity, life, & trauma that have taken a lot of time & thinking to process. This is due to the fact that I had so little pretense & context when it happened. I had little to no tools, knowledge, or support. So ofc the journey was slow & difficult. I think this memoir will help people make sense of themselves & others.

“Prismatic” is a great way to describe this memoir; it covers a lot of ground & I liked the way the chapters/sections are split. The writing is interesting, but also informative in depicting the message it intends to. It’s clear the author put a lot of her own emotions but also research into this. The complexity of lesbian relationships, queer abuse, & how to process things that have never been modeled for you

Very informative; I’m enjoying learning about lesbianism, gender expression, & the complexity of how abuse is treated legally & socially due to various identities. It makes sense that the author struggled to identify & voice her abusive experiences bc she didn’t have pretext for them.

The writing of this book is very artful; it really takes a philosophical angle while also having a story element to it.
