Georgie shouting about how she is forever not going to Omaha makes me think of a certain someone who wishes she never went to Omaha, but she will, because she is a GREAT FRIEND WHO WILL TAKE ONE FOR OUR TEAM. *cough cough*

He sounded like he was holding the phone even closer to his mouth now: "Do you love me, Georgie?"
"More than anything," she said. Because she was still telling the truth, damn the torpedoes. "More than everything."

My past self was really prolific- I was just about to status-update with a quote, which I had apparently quoted in my last re-read. Some things never change. And thank god for that!

For posterity purposes, I need to say that I have already laughed out loud and teared up, having only just read the acknowledgments (they are at the beginning of the book in this one). I am sure there is a word for this. And it's probably love.

"Sorry to interrupt your aneurysm," Heather said, "but you said that time was of the essence here."
"Right," Georgie said, "right." She followed Heather to the car, then handed her the key fob. "You drive."
"Why?" Heather asked.
"I need to think."

"Like what?"
"That voice."
"What voice?" he rumbled.
"You know what voice. Your Would you like me to seduce you? voice."
"I have a Mrs. Robinson voice?"
"Yes," she said. "You're a minx."
