I feel like I’m still waiting for something to happen lol

I have explained and shared and recommended this book to no less than seven people already since starting it. It’s dense and with meandering, intertwining character lives but quite profound in the science and tech questions and plausibilities already.

I have just gotten to the sulfur use as a massive solar geo engineering project discussed by technocrats and leaders of wealthy countries and the ethics of the butterfly effect in altering the environment.

This book was recommended to me by two people who say it’s the climate fiction one to read on geoengineering. The pacing and pov writing style is taking a bit for me to get used to although it’s drawn me in nonetheless. The Texas setting is familiar. The story takes place in the near future although I can’t quite determine when. The science is explained simply and I’ve already learned a few things.
