I started listening to this book by interrupting my hearing of "Jack Carr - Only The Dead".
Decision time: Since I can't do justice to hearing both books at the same time, "Vine Street" is on short-term pause.

The first thing I realised about this book was that I needed to slow the narration speed to 0.9x so the nuances of the various accents did not escape me. Multiple time-lines were also confusing, but ok now.

Actually, Kevin, you didn't directly recommend "Vine Street" to me, so don't feel bad!
I gushed (you are an author, so gushing is always appropriate!)

Terence M - “Quot libros, quam breve tempus!" Sounds great, Kevin! I'm taking your word for it and have just bought it from Audible :))
So, I had bought, paid for and downloaded the book before you even wrote your reply to my gushing comment!
Speaking of authors, did I read a comment of yours, - nah, forget it, I musta been dreamin' mate.
OK, trying again, did you tell someone on GR that you have, what was it?... "put away your quills, or somethink like that?? " Did Ja?
FFS... You have a new Prime Minister now, he's going to save you, isn't he? Jobs for all, even *authors*. What will you do, write for The Times, go SKI-ing (Spending the Kid's Inheritance), or what? And what makes you think that Julie will want to hang out with some distressed copywriter from Saatchi and Saatchi?
Tell me it isn't true, Kevin - or tell me it is, if it is. You'd still be me mate, ya know!
