With every chapter iam more and more in awe for the author’s ability to create something so unique and intricate for a concept as colonialism…really inspiring and very on point for this times…also, reading the iraqui culture inspiration feels so refreshing and new!

This book is proof that you can create a completely different and unique fantasy world while still incorporating elements that make it compelling and genuinely fun, without ever losing its weight or intrigue. I absolutely loved how immersive and original it felt, and it’s definitely making its way onto my list of favorites of the year!

This is complex, interesting and full of magic and so meaningful! I’m in love!!
