Impressed by how bizarro (and not?) this is getting. Motifs and symbols and references abound but they are tight and defined and clearly very personal to King. Americana filtered through himself. I guess that is what is so special about this series - it is singularly King, this hodgepodge could only be from him. The artist is present and unavoidable.
