Jokes, what a wannabe. So many obvious homages, it killed me. The “going to shock the audience with perversion and swear words” trend truly did not age well. Reads so immature. But his translations of Apollinaire are solid, especially “The Little Car” (one of my favorites).

The slices of old time New York are hilarious at times, so it was worth the read to me.
