Agreed. If I had one, I would only invite my closest friends and family.

I mean like that’s the whole point of a opinion and I feel like ppl judge others too quickly but I think I would probably agree but maybe do close fam or friends like maybe a small group.

I also don't really like gender reveal parties, but for a different reason. I hate our society's emphasis on gender roles, and I think "fun traditions" like gender reveal parties just continue to reinforce the social construct. In reality, it shouldn't really matter whether or not you have a boy or a girl, because their birth-assigned gender should not have to dictate their interests and how they live their lives. I also hate seeing parents throwing temper tantrums because the baby isn't the gender they wanted, and this makes me so concerned for the baby's future. (Okay sorry for the rant lol)

i agree, to an extent. i think yes it’s weird to have a whole party centered around whether or not the baby is male or female and yes it is extremely concerning when a parent is upset about the result, but in my mind it makes a connection from the family to the baby. obviously if you’re pregnant, youre gonna be attached, but i think there’s a deeper bond that forms when you have a gender or name to associate it with besides just a fetus in your womb. idk that’s just my two cents

yeah that's totally fair. And no judgement to anyone who does a gender reveal, I'm more mad at the system 🙃
