The moon finally knowsssss.

I was not expecting that Rundu City arc to turn so dark and twisted. So sad. No wonder the drama changed it.

So... this novel put me into a reading slump. I mostly blame the Jiyang City vs Wutuo Invaders arc, but if I'm completely honest, I also partly blame Xiao Jue's sour attitude. I don't hate him, but I am tired of him constantly being so cold and condescending towards He Yan. This is one of the few times that I feel the drama is better — it made Xiao Jue more likable there.

I'm annoyed with the lack of communication right now.

This Jiyang City vs Wutuo Invaders arc is dragging and putting me to sleep. My god, I need it to be over already.

Meh. The politics in the Jiyang City arc was my least favorite thing about the drama, and that remains true for the novel as well. I still don't really care for He Yan's master and the Mu princess's backstory. I find the whole Wutuo infiltration incredibly boring. And I can't believe I'm saying this... the drama did the romance between He Yan and Xiao Jue during the fake marriage better. Can't wait to move on.
