Thoughts upon finishing "If This Is A Man":
• Chapter on camps internal economic systems was utterly fascinating. I have neither read nor thought about camp economies in such detail before!
• The final chapter's detail of the impact of the German retreat was heartbreakingly profound. One thinks suffering would have been at its peak during occupation...starvation, disease, and death seemed to only intensify.
