Okay this must be a piece of humble pie... but I think I just processed that Benjamin Franklin wasn't only an inventor (though that's the only way I've grown up hearing about him) HOWEVER it was 2026 when I learned about his position as DEPUTY POSMASTER GENERAL of AMERICA? Eventually, outside of his interests and developing various inventions, he was made Postmaster General by the Second Continental Congress.
