Nikolay finally 'mans-up' and Andrew goes beast mode

Book 2. Although it feels like one has begun reading another novel with the high society of Russia left behind for the Battlefield - it's still great to read. Lots of eccentric characters and a couple that we have come to know .....can't wait for book 3

I'm absorbing this book rather than reading it. Taking it nice and slowly with no targets or thoughts of other books makes it so much more enjoyable...

This is my 2nd read of this huge novel. Although it's been 16 years and I'm only 25 pages in, I feel like I am going to enjoy it so much more this time round. I have no trepidation, I feel calm and relaxed, ready to absorb and ready to enjoy....

365 chapters....365 days........ If only there was a way to break up this book into small convenient chunks and read this across the period of a year.... Hmmmmmm
