2.5 rounded down. The general principles of this book are solid (it’s not your job to entertain your child, know your child, make your house a play-friendly space) but there is a lot of fluff. Additionally the “scripts” or suggested ways to talk to your child are so overwrought, inauthentic and forced. Just talk to your child like you would talk to any other person.
