this book is like the little brother you cannot stop bickering with and cannot stand and yet you inexplicably adore them. I feel so inspired by it even though the prose and I really don't get along. the concept of it is just so delicious. mayhaps I will have a have a better time with this reread.

I feel exactly the same about this! I was so intrigued but at the same time could not get myself to like the prose or characters but the premise was fabulous! I've got a signed copy of the second book but have yet to read it, very reluctant to do so in case I have the same experience that I had with Mordew 😅
