The setting in this book is in a neighborhood or town in a place called Mayfield. The story takes place in the 1950s-1960s. I know in a specific scene that on the weekends probably, Juli is seen on a huge tree refusing to get down cause she doesn't want the tree to be cut down. Bryce sees her on the news and has been caught looking at her photos by his friends.

GENRE: The genre is realistic fiction and romance. The book is fiction but the story could happen in real life. Also Bryce and Juli clearly have romance in their time together. The kind of romance is like,"She fell first but he fell later but harder." It also is young adult cause this takes place when they're in elementary to middle.

This book is about two kids who go to school and live close to each other. Juli is a girl who has been in love with Bryce since the second grade, her dad has always told her to look at the other views but she never understood. Bryce on the other hand hated Juli and found her annoying. In the pages that I've read, Bryce has felt bad and has almost missed her normal personality when Juli went quiet. That's all I know.
