okay apparently it’s not the wrong epub - I checked and the booker’s prize judging panel praised the minimalist/simple prose. i’ve read children’s books with more grammatically complex sentences so i’m trying to understand what’s to praise? but i’m not Roddy Doyle ig

i’m starting to think i got the wrong epub because a booker prize winner can’t possibly be this bad?
