Irving also said that Reagan was crazy because he wanted the Soviet Union to have “more responsible conduct around the world”. Again, fast forward….a few years later….the wall was down. Reading this book now, the only “lunatic” I can see is the author. And I hate reading books by lunatics.

I was reading this book. Enjoying it because it is just a story. And then….of course….the author gets political by calling Ronald Reagan a lunatic. The reasons why he was a lunatic? “There must be no Soviet beachhead in Central America”. How is that crazy?? See Ukraine. “his beloved Star Wars”….I am older so I remember the nuts on the left saying this was impossible. Hey y’all …he was right.
