The striking language and psychology displayed by Milton in this Epic poem deserve the work it takes to read and digest the matter discussed within. It has taken up many pages in my reading journal already and I’m only two parts deep into the journey.

Reading and understanding are two very different concepts. I haven’t had to stretch my comprehension muscles for a long while but endeavoring to decode Milton’s work makes me feel very scholarly at current.
