This book starts with a happy girl living in Budapest, when everything changes. Her family is sent to a Ghetto for Jews. "...another announcement, the one we dreaded most. All Jews are to be removed and concentrated in a ghetto..." (Bitton-Jackson, Pg. 37). This makes me sad because they have to leave everything they know and love. Next, I think that she will be sent to a camp for Jews and her family will be split.
