I can't handle reading about or watching any kind of eye trauma, so the chapter on cataracts was a challenge to get through.

Well, now I have to read this because I had a cataract as a kid. It was on my list anyway since I have loved Mary Roach's past work!

You may really appreciate her findings in the chapter, then! It's a testament to how good Mary's writing is that I was engaged and learned new information while simultaneously making many grossed out faces as I read.
