I’m three stories through and I don’t know how much more my soft heart can take. They’re too beautiful, too devastating, and in the case of the third story, Sunland, baffling me because it somehow is NOT Flannery O’Connor’s work. Is it wrong to give something five stars before you’re even halfway through?? Shut up, I don’t care.
