I am close to being halfway done with this book! It’s good so far, not as good as the first two. I think the whole “Miss Whitehall and Thomas’s father scheme” is bad (duh) and it is getting on my nerves. I know Audrey Rose and Thomas will still get married. While I don’t like spoilers, I will let it slide since I like them. I am getting kinda bored and miss fantasy books so much. Miss FOTA. 💔

I can’t believe Uncle Jonathan and Thomas got poisoned! It is good that the mystery is finally picking up, but Thomas!
Can’t wait to see Audrey stab the sh!t, or at least try, to the murderer.

It kinda reminds me in As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson how Pip was kidnapped and beaten up by the murderer. It’s probably gonna happen with Audrey Rose, but she’ll probably just get kidnapped.
I do love this series, but I miss fantasy so much I feel like I’m in withdrawal.🥲

About 15 chapters to go!! It’s nuts!Audrey Rose and Thomas are still very sweet. They are the main reason I kept in with the series. And I’m glad Maniscalco had them solve mysteries again, unlike the crapfest that was book three. And IF Mesphisto is the killer (which he most likely isn’t) then I cannot wait to see him behind bars! Also, the mystery in this one is kinda boring. Book one and two had better.

Grandmama is awesome, like that wasn’t obvious. And I totally would have eloped earlier if I was Audrey Rose and Thomas. But now we’re in Chicago at the World’s Fair! That’s exciting.
I am getting a bit bored. I mostly stick to fantasy, and now I see why. 😂

Side note aside, Thomas’s father is on the level of disgusting as the Dragna Sisters’ father is.
Also, I suggest we pause on the plot to find the American Jack the Rippers in favor of throwing Miss Whitehall and Thomas’s father of a cliff.
Don’t think that will happen though.
