Halfway through and this is definitely a different experience compared to Eye of the World. The first book definitely has this "important story" element that makes it feel epic whereas, with this one, it's tone and pacing comes off a whole lot lighter.

This works a lot like Eye of the World with this out in the world for a journey vibe that I certainly mess with. Good chapter but my eyes were getting blurry. I am BEAT.

Cont: beat. I like this one more when it's an easier read and the pacing is much more fast-paced, but there was great heft to the first book narratively that's missing here. So there's pros and cons to both
