Part 1 was full of magic, Merlin, orcs, invisibility rings, but Part 2 much less so, I was starting to get bored. Canto 33, back to the fantastical! In which the Phineus and the Harpies story from Jason and the Argonauts has been copy-pasted onto the story of Prester John?? Why? This poem's lifted other Greek adventures before, but Prester John's got his own stories Ariosto could have used - what's the fusion for?

Canto 35 sends our heroes on a magical mystical journey TO THE MOON, and you know what this wondrous setting would be perfect for? That's right, it's another commercial break where the characters turn to the camera to flatter the author's patron! I'm laughing, at least when it was telling Bradamante about her own descendents there was a vague pretense at plot-relevancy, we've given up all pretense now. On the moon.
