Way too many characters with way too many backstories that I don't care about. 😣

✨Joe ✨ Aw that sucks. I hate when they do that.

Daniel Same basic blueprint as 'Dismal Trail' by this author but that was a MUCH better experience. Highly recommend that one. This one is just okay so far.

✨Joe ✨ Ooo good to know!

Crystal Frost It didn’t seem to have too many characters to me. Sorry you are not enjoying it like I did.

It's not bad but 'Dismal Trail' (and the rest of that series) set the bar and my expectations very high for this. It's pretty much the exact same "outline" but this isn't hitting like that one. Seems like there are two dozen people on this mission and the constant "flashbacks" to tell their personal history is annoying me. They're dragging this out with a lot of "fluff". 'Dismal Trail' is much faster-paced and has maybe half a dozen primary characters (and VERY few secondary characters). I liked them a LOT better, especially the deaf dog that learns sign language (hand signals) and saves everyone's bacon repeatedly. If you like the dog in 'Old Dogs', you'll LOVE the dog in 'Dismal Trail' and its sequels. 😊
