I like the mystery and the humor and the female friendships. I am glad Beau didn’t end up being a bad guy. I am not sure I like how it ended but I suppose it makes sense that one of the least prominent characters was the killer. The one you would not suspect because he barely mattered to the story. I liked the first book better but this was good, too.

Alright, I have been thinking it the whole time, but I am now convinced the authors have thrown Taylor Swift lyrics in this book as Easter eggs, a la, well, Taylor Swift style! I mean, the main characters’s name IS Este, after all. Gemma’s car is named Betty. And now, nearly verbatim lyrics from London Boy; “I’m hanging on by a thread, Tippy. Don’t threaten me with a good time.” I mean!!!

At first, I wasn’t sure, it started off slowly. But it is picking up and I need to know what happened to Gemma! And I already suspect Beau and Polly, even though she’s young.
