I love that the orchestration of the Count’s vengeance is so subtle. Yes, he’s influencing so much of what’s happening but Dumas is very good about staying away from cheesy villain territory.

So many interwoven plot lines happening all at once.

It’s like a soap opera. Honestly thought Caderousse had already served his full purpose.

I know there are various versions of the book but I find it so interesting that even some of the chapter titles vary. My physical copy titles Ch. 69 as “Ghosts” while the audiobook refers to it as “Shadows.” Result of translation differences?

It's kind of comical how unusually far behind I am in my annual reading goal (which I never place any weight on). But, to be fair, most of the books I'm reading this year are massive...
