Oh things are NOT going well. Ladisla is gonna get everybody killed. Glokta has to save a city that is so BONED against a veritable army and a half (yeah that's not gonna happen). Logen, Ferro and Jezal are all in the middle of battle and VERY OUTNUMBERED. Also Quai and Bayaz are looking more and more evil as the series goes on. There was just a literal character change from book 1 to 2.
