Really enjoying this book so far. The description of chronic and intractable migraine is incredibly humanizing to me as someone who also has that, and brings some much needed levity to the pain. As an ornithology nerd and ecologist, the analogies between the human experience and bird experience, especially as it relates to illness, speak directly to my heart.

I nearly cried, reminding me so much of my own bird and losing her. The expression of chronic illness and disability still feels so humanizing. I’m loving this book as a disabled bird lover.
