Camus underlines the absurdity of creation and explains that great artists like Kafka and Dostoevsky are able to illustrate a fictional world with purpose and deep thought. He admits novels can be hit or miss but the greatest books to him are novels. More talk of how as soon as we discover something new, we are left with more questions in a Neverending loop.

Thoughts on the absurdity of don quanism, acting, and conquest knowing that each love is bound to fade, each act bound to end, and conquests are forgotten. Camus doesnt berate Don Quan as a degenerate but instead sees him as freely himself. Many of his qualities are not admirable (his lust for new partners) but he is not at war with himself over this. He knows that he is a philanderer and lives in accordance to it.

Still no talk of sisyphus but a good dissertation on what absurdity is and how suicide contradicts its rules. Camus asserts that time spent being conscious and aware makes a life more lived than time spent following the rigidity of life. The absurdity of trying to define a good life, when life is constantly happening. It is up to only the one that it is happening to, to interpret.
